Maybe this is true in a hypothetical situation, but can they reliably deal 150 damage per turn against a creature with 22 AC, really high saves (with advantage against spells and magical effects) and the ability to fly quite quickly? My 9th level party can already put out 150 damage per round You can drop the party into prone from 20ft away or farther, and mess up their usual first turn "move 30ft and attack," which you are able to do because Legendary Actions. Standing up from prone uses half of your movement. Because it has a 60ft range and PCs may not have improved their movement in anyway (either by distance or flying). If the PCs screw up and the Empyrean escapes, it can come back with friends, using Earthquake to break through any fortress the players might try to hide in.Īdded Note: you might ask why you would ever use Trembling Strike at the cost of two attacks that can stun. not a major feature, not concernedįor storytelling purposes, this monster has bolster allies.
